The ADC ribbon: Create, Settings & Update

Where ADC lives in Inventor and what each command does.

ADC adds its commands to the Inventor ribbon on the Part, Assembly, and Drawing tabs. The first time you run a command in a session you must be signed in with an active licence or trial.

The three commands

  • ADC (Create) — generates the drawing(s) from the active model using your current settings. For an assembly, it first asks which components to draw.
  • Settings — opens the settings dialog (Templates, Sheet Sizes, Drawing Views, Dimensions, Parts List / Balloons, Title Block / Border, Update / iLogic, and more). See the Settings Reference.
  • Update — in the drawing environment, refreshes an existing drawing. See Updating drawings.

Signing in

If you aren’t signed in or have no active licence, ADC prompts you to sign in before it runs.
