After the model changes, refresh existing drawings with the Update command instead of recreating them.
Open the drawing (or the top-level assembly drawing) and click Update. What Update does is set in Settings → Update / iLogic.
Update modes
- Update All Sheets — every sheet in the active drawing document.
- Update Active Sheet — only the active sheet.
- Update opened Drawings — all open drawing documents and their sheets.
- Update Top-level Drawing — the whole assembly’s drawings from the top-level drawing (open it, click Update; enable Update sub-level Documents to iterate sub-documents).
- Update Drawings from Folder — drawings in a folder (enable Check sub-Folders to include subfolders).
- Update Drawings from text list — specific drawings listed by full file name in a text file.
- Allow me to choose — pick any mode at run time without opening settings.
What an update refreshes
- parts-list visibility and positions
- parts-list titles
- missing balloons
- balloon value-set values
Tip
Don’t delete the hidden main parts list that ADC parks on sub-assembly drawings — the update relies on it.
