How ADC draws assemblies — which components to include, and how the parts list is built.
Before you start
Set your BOM structure in the model first. ADC skips Purchased, Phantom, and Reference components.
Choose which components to draw
When you run ADC on an assembly it asks for the scope. Options:
- All components
- First level only
- Only this document
- Selected components
- From a text file (a list of full file names)
Parts-list level
The parts list structure is set in Settings → Parts List / Balloons → BOM Level: Default (recommended), Structured, Structured All Levels, or Parts Only. Choose Structured All Levels when you need the main parts list shown on sub-assembly drawings and reference balloon value sets.
What you get
ADC creates each drawing, places the views, and — for assemblies — adds the parts list (in the chosen corner) and balloons.
