Settings: General

The General tab controls how ADC applies its settings across your projects and which documents it includes when creating drawings.

ADC Settings — General tab

Use the same Settings for all Projects

  • Activated: ADC uses one global set of settings in every project.
  • Deactivated: ADC keeps a separate set of settings for each project, so different projects can use different settings for greater flexibility and accuracy. When deactivated, the Settings Profiles controls below become available.

Settings Profiles

When you are not using one global set of settings, you can keep named profiles for each project. Use New to create a profile, Duplicate to copy the current one, Rename to relabel it, and Delete to remove it. Profile edits are applied when you click Save and discarded if you click Exit, so you can experiment safely.

Create Drawings

Choose the creation mode and scope for the main ADC run — for example whether ADC processes only the active model or fans out across the components of an assembly.

Create Drawings for all Types of Documents

  • Activated: ADC creates drawings for every document type — assemblies (.iam) and standard/sheet-metal parts (.ipt).
  • Deactivated: you choose which document types to include using the toggles below: Create Drawings for Assemblies, Create Drawings for standard Parts, and Create Drawings for sheet metals.

Ignore Components from libraries

  • Activated: ADC skips components sourced from libraries or the Content Center.
  • Deactivated: ADC also creates drawings for them.

Ignore Purchased Components

  • Activated: ADC skips components flagged as purchased.
  • Deactivated: ADC also creates drawings for them.

Ignore Read-only Documents

  • Activated: ADC skips read-only documents.
  • Deactivated: ADC also creates drawings for them.

Ignore custom Content Center Parts

(e.g. tubes, RHS, profiles from the Content Center.) Activated: ADC skips those parts. Deactivated: ADC creates drawings for custom Content Center parts.

Show Progress Bar

  • Activated: ADC shows a progress dialog during a run so you can follow its progress and stop it at any time.

Language

Switch the interface language; the choice is shared across all BLUE MECH modules.
